Weh Island

Weh Island, located at the westernmost tip of Indonesia in Aceh Province, is a tropical paradise known for its crystal-clear waters, colorful coral reefs, and relaxed island atmosphere. The island is often called “Kilometer Zero of Indonesia” because it marks the starting point of the country’s western boundary.

The island’s capital, Sabang, is a charming coastal town with colonial history, while the surrounding beaches such as Gapang, Iboih, and Sumur Tiga are favorites among divers and snorkelers. Pulau Weh’s underwater world is its greatest treasure, with dive sites offering encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, and diverse coral gardens.

Beyond the beaches, visitors can explore volcanic hot springs, freshwater lakes, and lush forests where macaques and hornbills live freely. Unlike busier tourist spots, Pulau Weh remains peaceful, making it perfect for those seeking both adventure and tranquility.
